美国冶金煤生产商Alpha Metallurgical Resources Inc（AMR）近日表示，若中东地区伊朗相关军事冲突持续至今年年底，公司可能上调2024年煤炭销售成本指引区间。
该公司在最新业务展望中指出，地缘政治紧张局势导致全球能源供应链波动加剧，特别是红海航运受阻迫使部分航线绕行好望角，显著拉长运输周期并推高物流成本。作为应对措施，公司正评估现有成本结构，并计划在第三季度财报中披露具体调整方案。
行业分析师指出，冶金煤作为钢铁生产核心原料，其价格走势与全球基建投资周期高度相关。当前中东局势若长期化，可能引发国际焦煤价格新一轮上涨，但北美本土生产企业能否将额外成本转嫁至下游钢企仍存变数。
值得关注的是，Alpha Metallurgical Resources今年第一季度已实现煤炭销量490万吨，其中冶金煤占比达87%。公司维持全年1900-2100万吨的销量目标不变，但警告地缘政治风险可能对下半年利润率造成5-8个百分点的挤压。
