Ningxia Holds Grid Connection Work Meeting for New Energy and Storage Projects

According to information from Fengmang Energy, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission recently held a work promotion meeting for the grid connection of new energy and new-type energy storage projects in the second half of 2026. The meeting was attended by officials from relevant cities, counties, and district energy authorities, as well as personnel from the State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Company's dispatch center and development department. Also present were key leaders and professionals from 44 new energy and new-type energy storage companies.

During the meeting, the State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Company systematically outlined the procedures for extending the approval period of connection opinions for new energy and new-type energy storage projects, along with common issues encountered during the connection process. They also promoted the "State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Company Centralized New Energy and Energy Storage Grid Connection Service Guide (Trial Version)." Leaders from participating companies reported on their project construction progress and engaged in detailed discussions with energy authorities and grid companies on specific issues, such as the coordination of approval procedures with project timelines and preparatory work before grid connection.

Emphasis on Tight Timelines and Heavy Tasks

The meeting stressed that the task of connecting new energy and new-type energy storage projects to the grid in the second half of the year is urgent and heavy. It emphasized that energy authorities at all levels must strengthen dynamic list management, coordinate to resolve various issues encountered before grid connection, and urge companies to strictly follow the grid connection plan and set project schedules in reverse. This should be done to accelerate construction while ensuring safety and quality.

The State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Company was instructed to establish a three-tier grid connection service mechanism at the district, city, and county levels for each project. This aims to further enhance guidance and services across all stages of project grid connection. Companies are required to fulfill their primary responsibilities and ensure projects connect to the grid on schedule.

Future Plans for Project Monitoring

The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission stated that, in the next step, it will resolutely implement the work plan of the regional party committee and government to "firmly implement the strategy of strengthening the region with energy and achieve new breakthroughs in accelerating the construction of a new energy system." This will involve regular, refined, and standardized monitoring of the construction progress of new energy and new-type energy storage projects. The aim is to strengthen collaboration between government and enterprises, as well as coordination between power plants and the grid, to ensure the achievement of the second-half grid connection targets for new energy and new-type energy storage projects.
