Bumitama Agri (P8Z.SI) saw its stock soar 3.35% in Wednesday's trading session, following the company's impressive first-half 2025 financial results and a significant dividend increase. The Indonesian palm oil producer has demonstrated robust performance amid favorable market conditions.
For the first half of 2025, Bumitama Agri reported a stellar set of earnings. The company's revenue climbed 28.2% year-on-year to IDR 9.7 trillion, while gross profit surged 43% to IDR 2.6 trillion. Net profit showed an even more impressive growth, increasing by nearly 48% year-on-year to IDR 1.27 trillion. This strong financial performance was driven by higher production volumes and a 22% year-on-year increase in crude palm oil (CPO) selling prices.
In a move that has particularly excited investors, Bumitama Agri more than tripled its interim dividend from S$0.012 to S$0.0363. This substantial dividend hike, coupled with the company's strong financial results, has likely contributed to the stock's positive movement. Additionally, the company noted that palm oil has demonstrated resilience and is supported by strong fundamentals as the commodity regains market share from other oil substitutes, suggesting a positive outlook for the sector.
