Huishang Bank Q1 2026 Net Profit Hits RMB 5.00 Billion; Capital Adequacy Ratio Stands at 13.69%

Huishang Bank Corporation Limited reported unaudited results for the three months ended 31 March 2026, highlighting stable profitability and sound capital buffers.

• Profitability: Net profit reached RMB 5.00 billion for the quarter, underpinned by steady operating performance across core banking activities.

• Balance Sheet: Total assets amounted to RMB 2,431.26 billion, while total liabilities stood at RMB 2,253.24 billion. Owner’s equity came in at RMB 178.02 billion, reflecting a solid capital base.

• Capital Strength: – Capital adequacy ratio: 13.69% – Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio: 11.34% – Core tier 1 capital adequacy ratio: 9.92%

Core tier 1 capital, net of deductions, totalled RMB 141.55 billion, including paid-up capital of RMB 13.89 billion, capital reserve and other comprehensive income of RMB 17.24 billion, surplus reserve and general risk provision of RMB 45.50 billion, retained earnings of RMB 76.54 billion, and minority interests of RMB 2.76 billion. Total risk-weighted assets were RMB 1,427.31 billion.

• Capital Instruments: The Bank’s outstanding tier 2 capital bonds and perpetual (non-fixed-term) capital bonds were RMB 16.00 billion and RMB 20.00 billion, respectively, as of end-March 2026.
