Xiluo Town's Chengzhi Village Sees Bumper Corn Harvest as Mechanized Reaping Kicks Off

On October 8, the contiguous corn fields of Chengzhi Village in Xiluo Town entered harvest season. The fields hummed with machinery as combine harvesters rolled in one after another, marking the start of large-scale corn harvesting across the village, with scenes of bustling activity filling the vast farmland.

At the harvesting site, several harvesters shuttled back and forth between the corn rows. Massive mechanical rollers pulled entire corn stalks into the machines, and golden corn poured out from the discharge outlets directly into waiting grain trucks. On the field ridges, transport vehicles came and went in succession, quickly moving freshly harvested corn away. Town and village officials stayed in the Chengzhi Village fields, coordinating farm machinery scheduling in real time, gathering farmers' concerns, and pushing out weather updates and grain loss reduction tips, racing against time to seize the farming season and ensure mature corn was harvested promptly.

Li Lijun, Minister of Armed Forces of Xiluo Town, said that with autumn harvest in full swing in Chengzhi Village, they had coordinated with agricultural machinery cooperatives in advance, arranged machinery and surveyed plots, and sent Party members and officials down to the fields to provide coordination and services. Relying on land trusteeship and full mechanized operations, they seized the clear weather, harvesting each plot as it ripened, making every effort to ensure all autumn grain was brought in and to continuously drive steady grain production and income growth for the people.

Chengzhi Village seized the favorable autumn harvest conditions and accelerated corn harvesting through socialized agricultural machinery services. As an important part of Xiluo Town's autumn harvest work, the village's Party branch and village committee actively connected with agricultural machinery resources and cooperated in implementing various autumn harvest support measures, striving to harvest every possible plot and bring in every grain.

Zhang Yongjun, Party branch secretary of Chengzhi Village in Xiluo Town, said that with good rainfall this year the harvest was also good, and the workload was relatively heavy. They planned to organize multiple harvesters for contiguous operations in Chengzhi Village, following town and village arrangements for staggered operations, giving priority to elderly and weak farming households. Going forward, they would also carry out straw return to the field, advance autumn plowing in tandem, and use socialized agricultural machinery services to support the village's bountiful grain harvest.
