Where to catch the late trains
To accommodate concertgoers, Lanzhou Rail Transit will temporarily extend the operating hours of Metro Line 1. This adjustment applies only to the Chenguanying to Donggang direction and will be in effect on the evenings of September 5, 6, 12, and 13. The last train from Chenguanying will now depart at 00:30 the following morning, instead of the usual 22:30. Services in the opposite direction, from Donggang to Chenguanying, will keep their regular schedule.
How return travel will be managed
After the concerts conclude, the Aoti Zhongxin Station (on the Chenguanying-bound side) will adjust its departure times based on real-time passenger flow and the actual end time of the events, with trains departing as soon as they are full.
To efficiently handle the large crowds heading home, spare trains will be stationed at multiple points along Line 1 for on-demand deployment. This will boost overall capacity and help move passengers quickly. Additionally, Aoti Zhongxin Station will see an increased number of service and equipment staff during these busy hours. If temporary crowd control measures are put in place at the station, passengers are asked to follow the directions of on-site personnel and queue in an orderly fashion to board.
