黎巴嫩官员此前曾提出，全面停火是该国参与谈判的先决条件，但以色列方面始终拒绝作出承诺。真主党领导人纳伊姆·卡西姆则斥责谈判"毫无意义"，并称与以色列对话本身即是一种投降。
