Recently, four government agencies jointly issued the "Key Tasks for Enhancing National Digital Literacy and Skills in 2026." The document outlines 15 key initiatives across six main areas. The first area focuses on improving the digital literacy cultivation system, including strengthening the supply and openness of digital resources and broadening the channels for enhancing digital skills. The second area involves deepening the construction of digital application scenarios, aiming to improve the quality of digital life, enhance digital work capabilities, and stimulate digital innovation vitality. The third area is dedicated to boosting national artificial intelligence literacy, which encompasses empowering education with AI, accelerating the cultivation of AI talent, and deepening the widespread application of AI. The fourth area promotes inclusive digital development, involving the enhancement of information accessibility environments and the creation of digital public welfare projects to assist the elderly and benefit the public. The fifth area aims to foster a safe and orderly cyberspace, guiding the public to use the internet in a civilized and lawful manner, strengthening national awareness of cybersecurity protection, and promoting the safe and standardized development of AI. The sixth area focuses on improving collaborative and coordinated working mechanisms, including refining multi-party cooperation mechanisms and deepening international exchanges and cooperation.
