Digital technologies are taking root in the countryside, with smart solutions illuminating the fields. Recently, the "Smart Zhongpo" digital village management platform, a joint initiative by China Mobile Guangxi's Wuzhou Branch and Guangxi Mo's Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Group Co., Ltd., was officially launched in Limu Town, Cenxi City. This represents a practical implementation of China Mobile's commitment to the national digital village development strategy, empowering grassroots governance and modern agriculture through digital and intelligent means. It signifies the fruitful results of the "enterprise + cooperative + farmer" model in eastern Guangxi, injecting robust "mobile momentum" into rural revitalization in the new era.
As a national leader in building new information infrastructure and a primary force in digital village development, China Mobile Guangxi's Wuzhou Branch leverages its role in advancing the "Network Power, Digital China, and Smart Society" initiatives. Utilizing China Mobile's nationally leading new information service system based on "Connectivity + Computing Power + Capability," the company has established a digital foundation for the "Smart Zhongpo" platform supported by 5G, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. By deploying the "N+31+X" Mobile Cloud resources, a dedicated "Smart Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Big Data Platform" has been created, transforming data into "new agricultural inputs," smartphones into "new farming tools," and digital technology into "new agricultural practices."
On the frontlines of industrial revitalization, smart breeding is transitioning from vision to reality. Leveraging advanced capabilities such as AI visual recognition and edge computing provided by China Mobile, Guangxi Mo's Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Group Co., Ltd. has established a fully visual traceability system covering the entire process from pasture to table. AI cameras analyze sheep behavior in real-time, enabling automatic inventory counting and precise oestrus detection alerts. In the future, smart ear tags and pedometers will further enable round-the-clock monitoring of health indicators such as body temperature and activity levels. Digital technology is subtly driving the traditional agriculture and animal husbandry sectors toward greater precision, intelligence, and brand enhancement.
The "Smart Zhongpo" platform serves not only as the "smart brain" for industrial digitalization but also as the "nerve center" for the modernization of rural governance. Centered on three core areas—rural governance, public services, and industrial development—the platform offers a one-stop solution covering five application scenarios: Safe Villages, Integrated Management, Public Benefit Services, Industrial Revitalization, and Ecological Governance. Village affairs such as approval processes and public opinion collection can now be handled "at one's fingertips," shifting grassroots governance from relying on "people moving" to "data flowing." Services like remote medical consultations and disaster warnings, powered by 5G+AI, are becoming accessible to ordinary households, effectively promoting the equalization of urban and rural services.
A project leader from China Mobile Guangxi's Wuzhou Branch stated, "Our fundamental mission, as a central state-owned enterprise serving national strategies, is to illuminate every corner of the countryside with digital intelligence." Currently, the "Smart Zhongpo" platform has entered a phase of routine operation and is progressively enhancing the efficiency of village affairs, improving public services, and upgrading industries in Zhongpo Village. Looking ahead, China Mobile will continue to collaborate with industry partners to deepen the platform's capabilities, expand its application scenarios, and accumulate replicable experience, aiming to create a "Zhongpo Model" for digital village construction in Cenxi and across Guangxi, contributing to rural revitalization through the power of digital intelligence.
