The State Grid Fu'an Power Supply Company has implemented a "Chief Power Service Officer" mechanism, applying a "one enterprise, one policy" approach to help businesses cut costs and boost efficiency through rooftop solar expansion, grid upgrades, and improved business environment measures, injecting green momentum into the region's real economy.
At the production facility of Fujian Rongyao Health Technology Co., Ltd., automated assembly lines are running at full capacity while deep-blue photovoltaic panels on the factory rooftop convert sunlight into clean electricity. "With output unchanged, our electricity expenses have dropped significantly," said Wu Jinghua, Chairman of the company. Thanks to the distributed solar project guided by the local power supplier, the company now saves over 100,000 yuan in annual electricity costs, and more than 60% of the power consumed at its plant last month came from solar generation, balancing economic performance with green development.
This transformation exemplifies the proactive, targeted support provided by the State Grid Fu'an Power Supply Company. As a flagship enterprise in Fu'an's health industry, Rongyao Health Technology requires highly stable and cost-effective power supply. Upon learning of the company's needs, the grid operator quickly activated its "Chief Power Service Officer" mechanism, customizing an electricity plan tailored to the factory's specific conditions. Recognizing the idle rooftop space, technicians conducted multiple on-site assessments, offered free energy efficiency diagnostics, proposed retrofit solutions, and promoted the rooftop distributed solar project. In May 2024, the facility's rooftop solar station was connected to the grid with a total installed capacity of 1,200 kilowatts and an average monthly output of 145,000 kilowatt-hours. Of the generated power, 26% is consumed on-site, with the surplus sold back to the grid. Calculations show the project saves the company approximately 130,000 yuan in electricity bills annually, while surplus power sales generate an additional 430,000 yuan per year, delivering both ecological and economic gains.
The successful transition at Rongyao Health Technology reflects the broader efforts of State Grid Fu'an to serve the region's pillar industries. In recent years, as Fu'an has expanded its health and electrical equipment sectors, the power utility has aligned its services with industrial growth, systematically improving the electricity business environment. For exporters of massage equipment facing fluctuating order volumes, the utility has introduced flexible load management to accommodate seasonal shifts in production demand. For small and micro enterprises, a "zero-investment" grid connection service streamlines application procedures through online processing and dedicated account managers, shortening connection lead times and lowering overall electricity costs for the real economy.
On the infrastructure front, State Grid Fu'an has intensified investment in industrial parks. In 2025, the company allocated 14.37 million yuan for three enterprise clusters including the Xibeiyang Industrial Park, constructing four new main feeder lines and upgrading one existing route. Combined with transformer additions and dual-power supply configurations, these measures have strengthened the region's power foundation. Currently, the power supply reliability rate in Xitan Town, where the Xibeiyang park is located, stands at 99.997%, with average annual outage time for businesses reduced to just minutes, ensuring uninterrupted production cycles.
Regarding energy transition, the region is leveraging its status as a pilot zone for county-wide rooftop distributed solar development to promote green energy adoption across industrial parks. Since 2024, a total of 874 new solar customers have been connected to the grid, adding 95,900 kilowatts of installed capacity. In the first seven months of 2025 alone, solar generation in the area reached 84.39 million kilowatt-hours, significantly advancing the pilot initiative and accelerating the shift toward low-carbon industry.
From individual enterprise retrofits to comprehensive upgrades across regional pillar sectors, electricity services are emerging as a critical pillar of Fu'an's green economic transformation. Moving forward, the State Grid Fu'an Power Supply Company plans to further optimize the electricity business environment, enhance grid reliability, and tap into clean energy potential, supporting high-quality industrial development and advancing the national "dual carbon" goals.
