China Mobile's Lianyungang branch in Jiangsu Province recently participated in a government-organized rural service initiative in Guanyun County. The program delivered digital services, anti-fraud education, intangible cultural heritage promotion, and public convenience support directly to village communities. This effort demonstrates the state-owned enterprise's commitment to supporting rural revitalization through practical action and digital innovation.

At the event, the "Smart Aging Assistance" service proved particularly popular among elderly villagers. Volunteers provided hands-on tutorials covering basic smartphone operations, video calls, online bill payments, and the use of platforms like Douyin. These sessions helped older residents bridge the digital divide and benefit from the conveniences of digital life.

In the anti-fraud awareness zone, volunteers explained common rural scam tactics using real-life examples, including fake shopping schemes, impersonation of relatives, and telecom network fraud. They guided villagers through installing the National Anti-Fraud Center app and disseminated knowledge to help protect personal assets.

Technical staff also conducted on-site broadband diagnostics and 5G signal testing to address communication network issues. Teams visited farmland to assess digitalization needs in agriculture, gathering insights to support the development of smart farming and digital village infrastructure.

Leveraging 5G's high-speed, low-latency, and massive connectivity capabilities, volunteers visited intangible cultural heritage workshops and local specialty producers. Through high-definition live commerce streams, short video promotions, and online virtual exhibitions, they showcased the craftsmanship, cultural significance, and unique qualities of local products. These digital approaches helped break geographical barriers, connecting hometown specialties with consumers nationwide while supporting both cultural preservation and expanded sales channels for rural industries.

The initiative brought convenient services to villagers' doorsteps and integrated digital technology into rural daily life, enhancing both digital literacy and safety awareness. Moving forward, China Mobile's Lianyungang branch will continue to deepen its rural service programs, using digital empowerment to enrich service offerings and ensure rural communities experience the tangible benefits and warmth brought by technological advancement.
