Educational solutions provider McGraw Hill announced on Monday the addition of two new products to its AI-powered mathematics learning platform, ALEKS: ALEKS Adventure for students in grades four and five, and an ALEKS Calculus II course. This expansion completes the ALEKS Adventure offering for the full K-5 grade range and extends personalized learning support into more advanced calculus coursework.

The new grades four and five version of ALEKS Adventure builds upon the existing K-3 product, retaining the proven ALEKS learning model to deliver a refined math learning experience for upper elementary students. The curriculum is designed in short, 10- to 15-minute modules featuring guided practice and frequent mastery checks, supporting skill development in a digital format suited to this age group. Familiar platform characters like the mascot Digit the Dog also enhance the learning experience.

The Calculus II course follows the previously released Calculus I course from 2025. It leverages AI-driven machine learning technology trained on billions of ALEKS data points to help students solidify foundational knowledge and deepen understanding as they progress to more advanced concepts. A Calculus III course is also planned for release in the 2027-28 academic year, creating a coherent learning pathway from introductory to advanced calculus.

At the core of this portfolio, the ALEKS platform has a history spanning over 25 years, having served more than 65 million students worldwide across K-12 and higher education. McGraw Hill Chief Product Officer Lori Anderson stated that students using ALEKS demonstrate knowledge retention rates exceeding 90%, and case studies in early elementary grades show that students using ALEKS Adventure have achieved significant gains in assessment scores and year-end math performance.
