SGX Lists LionGlobal Short Duration Bond Fund, Singapore’s First Active Bond ETF

Singapore Exchange Limited (S68) on Sep, 29 2025 announced the listing of the LionGlobal Short Duration Bond Fund (Active ETF SGD Class), marking the first actively managed bond exchange-traded fund and the first SGX-listed share class of an existing mutual fund in Singapore.

Managed by Lion Global Investors, the new ETF is a share class of the LionGlobal Short Duration Bond Fund that was launched in 1991 and invests in a diversified portfolio of high-quality short-term bonds from Singapore and global issuers.

The ETF is traded in Singapore dollars under the code SBO and in U.S. dollars under the code SBV. During its initial offer period, the ETF share class raised 141.3 million Singapore dollars, helping the underlying fund’s assets under management surpass 2 billion Singapore dollars.

With this launch, the number of ETFs listed on SGX rises to 50, with total assets under management exceeding 16 billion Singapore dollars.
