Yun Penggang, Former Deputy Party Secretary of Bayannur, Appointed as General Manager of Inner Mongolia Energy Group

A recent executive personnel change announcement reveals that Yun Penggang, who previously served as Deputy Secretary of the Bayannur Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee in Inner Mongolia, has been appointed as Director and General Manager of Inner Mongolia Energy Group Co., Ltd.

Yun Penggang, male, born in February 1976, is of Mongolian ethnicity and holds a postgraduate degree from Inner Mongolia University with a Master of Engineering degree. He is a member of the Communist Party of China.

His career includes serving as a director-level leading cadre at the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Energy Bureau, Standing Committee member of Ulanqab Municipal Party Committee, Party Group member and Deputy Mayor of Ulanqab Municipal Government, and Standing Committee member of Ulanqab Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Government Party Group.

In May 2022, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Bayannur Municipal Party Committee in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and later served as Deputy Secretary of Bayannur Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee.

According to a previous pre-appointment publicity announcement by the Organization Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, Yun Penggang was nominated as a candidate for the principal position of an enterprise directly managed by the autonomous region's party committee leadership.

Inner Mongolia Energy Group Co., Ltd. was established in September 2021 through the reorganization and integration of the former Mongolia Energy and Energy Construction companies, in accordance with the decision-making and deployment of the autonomous region's party committee and government. The company has a registered capital of 20.8 billion yuan, currently employs more than 10,000 people, and has total assets exceeding 150 billion yuan.
