猫眼娱乐(01896)于4月28日发布公告，公司董事会建议授予一般性授权，允许董事在一定期间内回购不超过公司现有已发行股本10%的股份。本次回购上限基于公司于最后实际可行日期已发行的1,162,148,937股普通股而定，回购规模约116,214,893股。
董事会指出，上述股份购回将使用公司可合法动用的资金进行，并严格遵守香港联合交易所有限公司证券上市规则及开曼群岛公司法等适用法规。公司表示，适时报行使购回授权将有助于提升每股资产净值和股东回报，仍将以公司和股东整体最佳利益为重大考量。
公告显示，猫眼娱乐已将6月23日（星期二）订为股东周年大会日期，以考虑并表决包括股份购回授权在内的多项决议。为确定有权出席相关股东大会并投票的股东身份，公司将于6月17日至6月23日（包括首尾两日）暂停办理股份过户登记手续。
公司还披露了过去十二个月内在港交所的股价表现：从2025年4月至2026年4月，股份最高成交价为8.65港元，最低成交价为5.64港元。董事会强调，本次回购符合公司及股东整体利益，亦有利于公司灵活调整资本结构。
