U.S. core PCE price index rose 3.0% YoY in August, down slightly from July and the weakest reading since February; market consensus was 3.3%.
U.S. core PCE price index rose 0.2% MoM in August, unchanged from July and slightly below the market consensus of 0.3%.
U.S. PCE price index YoY +3.4% in August vs 3.7% expected; July reading revised down from 3.7% to 3.4%.
U.S. PCE price index rose 0.3% MoM in August, below the 0.4% consensus; July's reading was revised down to 0.1% from 0.2%.
U.S. real personal spending rose 0.6% MoM in August, the biggest monthly gain since March 2025.
U.S. stock index futures all surged sharply following the data release.
