China New Town (01278) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a 7.63% year-on-year increase in profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company, which reached RMB 52.393 million.

The group recorded operating revenue of RMB 227 million for the period, up 18.18% from the previous corresponding period. Earnings per share stood at RMB 0.0054, and the board has proposed an interim dividend of HK$0.0019 per share.

During the first half of 2026, investment income from urbanisation projects climbed 17% to RMB 130 million, driven primarily by a larger scale of investment in these projects compared with the same period last year, which correspondingly boosted project investment income.

Construction revenue amounted to RMB 32.668 million, an increase of RMB 29.658 million year-on-year, attributed mainly to faster construction progress on two school projects in the eastern area undertaken by Shanghai Jinluodian Development Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Jinluodian), leading to higher recognised construction revenue.

Revenue from investment property leasing reached RMB 35.614 million, while property management fee income totalled RMB 11.918 million, reflecting a 10% decline compared with the same period in 2025, primarily due to lower unit rental rates in 2026.
