The U.S. major indexes closed as follows: Dow Jones down 0.67% at 51,481.51; S&P 500 down 0.77% at 7,683.69; NASDAQ down 0.92% at 26,820.38. U.S. equities ended broadly lower, with the Dow, S&P 500, and NASDAQ all finishing in the red. The pullback was led by weakness in high-growth technology and semiconductor names, while a few selected leaders held up better than the broader tape.

Unusual-move stocks were mixed, with several big-cap technology names under pressure while a few stock-specific catalysts lifted other names. NVIDIA was up 1.68% at $228.86, while Apple fell 0.78% to $338.40. Among other notable movers, Meta Platforms declined 4.79% to $715.62, Advanced Micro Devices fell 3.61% to $607.87, and Intel declined 5.67% to $116.03. On the upside, MongoDB plunged 18.46% to $334.68, Bloom Energy fell 8.95% to $262.87, while SOXS rose 6.17% to $34.43.

Among Chinese and other U.S.-listed names, several smaller-cap stocks saw outsized moves alongside a handful of stronger performers. Beyondspring surged 44.11% to $1.12, Kandi jumped 39.46% to $0.82, Chaince Digital Holdings rose 22.33% to $6.52, Cango gained 19.90% to $2.29, and Viomi Technology climbed 17.78% to $1.59. On the downside, VNET Group declined 9.94% to $5.98, Zepp Health fell 6.04% to $3.89, and Smart Powerr plunged 18.19% to $0.13. Larger names were more restrained, with NetEase up 4.88% at $121.04 and KE Holdings rising 3.80% to $16.95.

2. Navitas Semiconductor received an Army grant to develop ultra-high-voltage silicon carbide technology.
