Suntec REIT Manager Appoints Lock Wai Han as Interim Chairman After Board Change

ESR Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, the manager of Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust, announced on Mar, 17 2026 the retirement of Non-Executive Director David Alasdair William Matheson following the change in ownership of the manager.

The board has appointed Lock Wai Han, previously a Non-Executive Director, as Interim Chairman with immediate effect to ensure continuity of leadership.

With these changes, the board now comprises: Lock Wai Han (Interim Chairman and Non-Executive Director), Yap Chee Meng (Lead Independent Non-Executive Director), Anthony Charles Philip Couse (Independent Non-Executive Director), Abdul Jabbar Bin Karam Din (Independent Non-Executive Director) and Chong Kee Hiong (Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director).

The Nominating and Remuneration Committee is chaired by Abdul Jabbar Bin Karam Din and includes Yap Chee Meng, Anthony Charles Philip Couse and Lock Wai Han, while the Audit and Risk Committee remains unchanged under the leadership of Yap Chee Meng.

The board confirmed that the composition of its committees continues to meet the requirements of Singapore’s Code of Corporate Governance 2018, maintaining a majority of independent directors.
