SCIENTECH (02291) shares are moving lower today, declining 5.94% to HK$12.50 as of the latest update, with a turnover of HK$7.031 million. The decline follows an announcement by the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges that the company has been removed from the list of eligible securities for the Stock Connect program, effective September 7.

Under the new status, mainland investors can only sell but no longer purchase the shares starting today. Notably, the stock's southbound holdings ratio has fallen steadily over the past month, dropping from 3.32% in mid-August to the current 2.47%.

The company's interim results, released earlier, show that revenue for the first half of the year stood at RMB 310 million, a year-on-year decrease of 5.94%, while net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 147 million, down 19.49% compared to the same period last year.
