According to informed sources, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has notified its joint venture partners in the key Murban crude grade that it will no longer require shipments to be loaded from a port inside the Persian Gulf.

The sources indicated that, specifically for March cargoes, partners will be permitted to load 80% of their remaining Murban crude volumes from Fujairah.

Previously, the oil company had instructed partners in its onshore field projects to lift their Murban crude shipments from Jebel Dhanna port, which is situated inside the Persian Gulf, west of the Strait of Hormuz.

ADNOC declined to comment.
