10月3日，由于美国政府自周三起“关门”，美国劳工统计局未能如期在北京时间20:30公布美国9月非农报告。这是2013年来首次出现这种情况。当年，政府停摆导致原定于10月4日公布的非农无法如期发布，最终推迟了将近三周到10月22日才公布。
本周，因美国政府停摆未公布的经济数据还有：初请失业金人数、营建支出月率、工厂订单月率和耐用品订单月率。据美媒报道，美国国会参议院3日将再次就延长联邦政府资金的临时拨款法案进行投票。如果未能通过，联邦政府“停摆”或将持续到下周。
美联储古尔斯比：芝加哥联储估计9月失业率本应为4.3%。美联储数据显示劳动力市场仍保持稳定。服务业通胀上扬可能并非源于关税。对提前大幅降息持谨慎态度，不指望通胀自行消退；官方统计数据缺失的时间越长，就越无法看清经济正在发生什么。
美国劳工部长：我们正看到（就业领域）的投资正在增加；一旦政府重新开门，将立即公布九月就业数据。
美股三大期指短线走低，纳指期货转跌，道指期货、标普500指数期货涨幅收窄至不足0.1%；贵金属期货短线走高，COMEX黄金期货涨0.70%，报3895.3美元/盎司；COMEX白银期货涨近3%，报47.725美元/盎司。
