Following the trading session on April 16, 2026, the company will place 1.7 billion new B-class shares at HK$1.91 per share. The total gross proceeds are expected to be approximately HK$3.247 billion, with net proceeds estimated at HK$3.230 billion. The placement received subscriptions from several leading international institutions, demonstrating strong market recognition of Sensetime's long-term value.

According to the announcement, the net proceeds will primarily support core business development. This includes expanding the scale of the AI infrastructure SenseCore, specifically increasing the capacity of the localized AI supercomputing cluster based on domestic chips. The funds will also upgrade the technology stack for the localized AI cloud, providing infrastructure for the upcoming fully localized AI token plan. Additionally, the proceeds will be allocated to generative AI research and development, with a focus on advancing the SenseNova model series to achieve global leading standards. The capital will further support ongoing exploration of AI integration and application in innovative vertical sectors, as well as general corporate working capital.

On March 24, Sensetime released its 2025 annual results, reporting record-high revenue exceeding RMB 5 billion and a significant 58.6% reduction in net loss. EBITDA for the second half of the year reached RMB 380 million, turning positive for the first time since listing. The company's visual AI business, CV2.0, achieved profitability and maintained positive cash flow and profit for two consecutive years.
