新兴光学（00125）公告称，董事会已决议在即将召开的股东周年大会上，提呈并建议授出股份回购授权，最高回购比例为公司已发行股份（不包括库存股份）的10%。截至最后可行日期，公司已发行股份数目为262,778,286股，预计可购回最多26,277,828股。
公司表示，回购将以根据百慕达公司法及相关上市规则所允许的法律资金来源进行，董事会认为执行股份回购旨在提高每股盈利并提振股东价值，符合公司及股东的整体利益。根据公告，在紧接股东周年大会前十二个月内，公司股份于2025年8月最高成交价曾达0.470港元，最低成交价为0.355港元。董事会表示，目前无意立即进行回购，如在获授权后行使回购也将遵守上市规则要求并确保不会导致公众持股比例低于法定标准。
公司已定于2026年8月20日上午10时在香港九龙观塘榮業街2号振万广场18楼1806室召开股东周年大会，届时将审议并表决上述回购授权相关议案。公司股票将于2026年8月14日至8月20日暂停过户，股东如有意出席该次会议，需于8月13日下午4时前办理股权登记手续。
