On August 20, CIMC Green Energy Low Carbon Technology (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. (referred to as: CIMC Green Energy), a subsidiary of CIMC ENRIC, signed a cooperation framework agreement with China National Aviation Fuel Group South Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd. (referred to as: CNAF South Storage and Transportation). The two parties will jointly build South China's first comprehensive green methanol supply chain network in Zhanjiang, covering production, warehousing, customs clearance, delivery, transportation, and pickup services, creating a green energy demonstration base.

Li Dong, General Manager of CIMC Green Energy Low Carbon Technology Co., Ltd., stated that CIMC ENRIC's green methanol factory located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, is scheduled to commence production in the fourth quarter of this year, with an initial capacity of 50,000 tons per year. The total future capacity will reach 250,000 tons per year, making it one of the earliest biomass green methanol projects in China. Through deep integration with CNAF South Storage and Transportation's storage terminal network and leveraging Zhanjiang's natural deep-water port advantages and CNAF's modern methanol storage facilities, the project can accommodate 100,000-ton methanol transport vessels for berthing and efficient cargo pickup, significantly enhancing regional green methanol supply efficiency. This port serves the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Singapore Port, and other international ports.

Zheng Changman, General Manager of China National Aviation Fuel Group South Storage and Transportation Company, indicated that this collaboration achieves the connection between the "supply side" and the "hub side," representing strategic complementarity of advantageous resources and marking the company's strategic expansion from traditional energy storage and transportation to the green low-carbon sector.

Both parties expressed that they will use this signing as a starting point to continuously deepen cooperation, actively explore commercial model innovation and industry standard development in the green energy sector, and promote the green fuel storage and transportation industry toward scaled and standardized development, contributing to China's green energy transition.
