On November 3, Alphabet announced collaborations with Florida State University and the state of Arkansas to expand its "AI Education Accelerator" program, providing free AI training and certification for students and professionals nationwide. Florida State University will be the first to launch the "Google People Management Essentials" certification course—an eight-hour self-paced program leveraging AI tools like Gemini and NotebookLM to develop leadership skills such as goal-setting, project planning, and communication management.
Meanwhile, the Arkansas Department of Commerce has partnered with Alphabet to offer free online training for residents aged 18 and above. The program includes five-hour AI modules like "Google AI Essentials" and "Prompting Essentials," covering prompt engineering and AI applications. Participants can also earn free certifications in high-demand fields such as cybersecurity, data analytics, IT support, and digital marketing.
Similar initiatives are spreading across multiple states, including Oklahoma, Tennessee, Maryland, and North Carolina, with over 100 institutions now part of Alphabet’s AI education network. This marks a key implementation of Alphabet’s $1 billion AI education initiative announced in August this year.
