Xinhua News Agency, Hangzhou, September 27 (Reporter Lyu Ang) — The Fifth Global Digital Trade Expo concluded on the 27th in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
According to the Fifth Global Digital Trade Expo results conference, a total of 2,008 companies exhibited on-site, with cumulative attendance reaching 428,000 visits.
During the expo, more than 50,000 professional buyers attended for procurement, an increase of 20% compared to the previous edition.
This expo adopted "Encountering the AI Future at the Digital Trade Expo" as its annual theme, highlighting artificial intelligence features, with 226 "debut, first-show, first-exhibition" items covering fields such as digital healthcare, digital entertainment, and digital mobility.
A total of 996 artificial intelligence companies exhibited, roughly three times the number of the previous edition, bringing more than one hundred artificial intelligence application scenarios.
Malaysia and Hungary served as guest countries of honor, while France, South Korea, Peru, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and other countries sent delegations to exhibit, with more than 12,000 international buyers participating, further expanding the expo's international circle of friends.
The expo also unveiled key platforms including the China headquarters of the Arab Digital Economy Alliance, and released more than one hundred authoritative industry reports, rankings, initiatives, and consensus documents such as the Global Digital Trade Development Report 2026, promoting international public goods such as China's meteorological intelligent early warning solution "Mazu" to benefit developing countries.
In terms of industry-trade matchmaking, the expo established cooperation with 132 overseas business associations, pre-arranged procurement demand lists in advance, and held more than 50 thematic trade matching events.
During the same period, digital technology application competitions such as the World Artificial Intelligence Open Source Competition, the Embodied Intelligence Application Challenge, and the Global Brain-Computer Interface Innovation Competition were held, attracting more than 10,000 teams to compete, effectively promoting the transformation and application of digital technology.
