Central Bank Injects 500 Billion Yuan via Government Bond Operations in July

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) released its liquidity management data for July 2026 on August 4. The central bank's net injection of funds through open market government bond trading amounted to 500 billion yuan.

In terms of central bank lending facilities, the Standing Lending Facility (SLF) recorded a net withdrawal of 1 billion yuan. The Medium-term Lending Facility (MLF) saw a net injection of 100 billion yuan, while the Pledged Supplementary Lending (PSL) experienced a net reduction of 116.1 billion yuan.

Regarding open market operations, the 7-day reverse repurchase agreement (repo) resulted in a net injection of 249.5 billion yuan. Additionally, the central bank's treasury cash management operations contributed a net injection of 30 billion yuan. The data was sourced from the official website of the People's Bank of China.
