Citigroup has issued a research report reiterating its "Buy" rating on MINTH GROUP (00425) and initiating a 90-day positive catalyst watch on the stock. The firm set a target price of HK$46, which corresponds to approximately 15 times the projected 2026 price-to-earnings ratio. MINTH announced that it will establish a joint venture with Aisin Corporation and Toyota Tsusho Corporation to expand production of aluminum body frame components. MINTH, Aisin, and Toyota will hold 40%, 40%, and 20% stakes in the joint venture, respectively. Citigroup expects this move will strengthen the supply chain capabilities in the North American market, addressing the region's growing demand for vehicle electrification and lightweighting technologies. Citigroup believes this strategic collaboration will lead to a significant increase in orders for MINTH from Toyota and other Japanese automakers in the region. Considering that overseas automakers typically have lengthy vehicle development cycles, the brokerage estimates that the joint venture will not commence large-scale production until the end of next year. The potential value of anticipated orders is forecasted to be between $200 million and $300 million.
