Lum Chang Holdings Limited said on Jan, 07 2026 that its 50:50 Malaysian joint venture, Lum Chang Tien Wah Property Sdn. Bhd. (LCTWP), has signed a venture agreement with MyTelehaus Sdn. Bhd. (MYT) to develop a data centre on a 1.61-acre portion of LCTWP’s leasehold land in Section 13, Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur.
Under the agreement, LCTWP will contribute the development land and construct the core-and-shell of the facility once design approval, cost evaluation and regulatory consents are secured. MYT will fund and execute the mechanical and electrical fit-out, provide plant and equipment, and handle the management, operation, marketing and leasing of the data-centre suites.
LCTWP will lease the completed core-and-shell and the underlying land to MYT for 30 years. Revenue from leasing and operating the data-centre suites will be shared between the parties in proportion to their respective capital expenditure contributions. Any future sale of the property will require mutual consent, and both parties will provide performance guarantees for their obligations.
Lum Chang said the project will be financed through a combination of LCTWP’s internal funds, bank borrowings and equity and/or shareholders’ loans. The transaction is not expected to have a material impact on the group’s earnings per share or net tangible assets for the financial year ending Jun, 30 2026. No director or controlling shareholder of the company has any interest in the venture beyond their shareholdings.
