Hong Kong, 26 May 2026 — CMSC (China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd.) has appointed Executive Director Zhu Jiangtao, 53, as Chairman of the Board with immediate effect, following the departure of the previous chair earlier this month. Concurrently, Zhu has stepped down from the role of President and will assume those duties on an interim basis until a successor is named, in line with regulatory procedures.

Zhu joined CMSC as President in June 2025 and became an Executive Director the same month. His 30-year financial career includes serving as Executive Director and Executive Vice President of China Merchants Bank from 2023 to 2025, and Chief Risk Officer of the bank from 2020 to 2024. He holds a master’s degree in economics and carries the professional title of Senior Economist.

Board-level adjustments accompany the leadership shift: 1. Strategy and Sustainability Committee – Zhu becomes Chairperson; existing members Liu Zhenhua, Li Delin, Zhang Mingwen, Ding Lusha and Chen Xin remain. 2. Nomination Committee – Zhu joins as a member, while Yip Ying Chi Benjamin continues as Chairperson together with Li Xiaofei, Zhang Ruijun and Cao Xiao.

Other board committees retain their current compositions. Zhu’s remuneration will consist of a basic annual salary, performance-linked incentives and benefits, determined under CMSC’s senior management pay framework and disclosed in future annual reports; he will not draw separate directors’ fees.

The company confirms that Zhu holds no shares in CMSC, maintains no additional positions within the group, and has no related-party relationships requiring disclosure under Hong Kong Listing Rules.
