As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approach, Shenyang is ramping up efforts to build a solid defense line for agricultural product quality and safety from farm fields to household dining tables, enhancing the public's ability to distinguish quality products and raising safety consumption awareness. The Shenyang Agricultural Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team, together with agricultural and market departments in relevant districts, has jointly launched law enforcement and publicity activities on agricultural product quality and safety during the "two festivals" period.

On September 23, a series of legal publicity activities were carried out simultaneously at multiple locations. At the Dadong Non-Staple Food Farmers Market, a consultation service desk was set up in collaboration with the Shenhe District Market Supervision Administration, with science popularization display boards arranged and informational leaflets such as "Lean Meat Powder Identification Guide" and "Agricultural Product Tips" distributed to citizens, while enforcement officers explained key purchasing points face to face.

At the Fufang Aquatic Products Wholesale Market in Tiexi District, law enforcement officers explained laws and regulations including the Fisheries Law and the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Law to business operators and consumers. In Wangbin Street, Hunnan District, enforcement officers went deep into the fields, visiting multiple sweet potato growers to publicize and explain the Measures for the Administration of Commitment-Based Compliance Certificates for Agricultural Product Quality and Safety, guiding growers to issue certificates in a standardized manner and implement source control responsibilities.

At the event sites, law enforcement officers also popularized knowledge related to agricultural product purchasing techniques, food safety common sense, rights protection channels, and emergency response to farmers and citizens, consolidating the joint force of social co-governance for agricultural product quality and safety. To safeguard the "vegetable basket," the Shenyang Agricultural Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team has simultaneously advanced supervision and sampling inspection work. This week, 51 batches of fruit and vegetable samples and 79 batches of aquatic product samples were collected for national, provincial, and municipal-level supervision and spot checks, with no problems of banned drugs or excessive pesticide and veterinary drug residues detected so far.

After the concentrated publicity activities concluded, the Shenyang Agricultural Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team established three special working groups focusing on holiday best-selling agricultural products to carry out special investigation and rectification targeting production and business entities, strictly examining various risk hazards. In the next step, the Shenyang Agricultural Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team will continue to maintain a high-pressure posture of inspection and supervision during the holiday period, intensify full-chain comprehensive rectification efforts, severely crack down on all types of illegal and non-compliant acts related to agricultural product quality and safety, compress and solidify the primary responsibility of production and business entities, weave a tight and solid protective net for agricultural product quality and safety, effectively safeguard the safety of the people's "bite," and ensure that all citizens can enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays with peace of mind.
