On June 17th, it was learned that Li Xuejun, the Deputy Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of China Post Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Post Life), has been appointed as the Party Committee Secretary of the company and is expected to assume the role of Chairman.

In February of this year, China Post Life announced that its board had previously received the resignation of Han Guangyue. Han Guangyue resigned from the position of Chairman of the company due to personal age reasons. Han Guangyue was also the Party Committee Secretary of the company at that time.

Unlike previous appointments, Li Xuejun is the first General Manager selected through a market-oriented recruitment process since the establishment of China Post Life. Previously, the positions of Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of China Post Life have always been filled by cadres from its major shareholder, the China Post system.

Previous officeholders such as Feng Xinsheng, Liu Mingguang, and Han Guangyue all came from the China Post Group. Dang Xiurong, who also has a background in the postal system, was a founding member of China Post Life, later promoted from its first General Manager to Chairman.

Li Xuejun was born in November 1970 and is a professional in the insurance field. He graduated from the Central University of Finance and Economics with a major in International Insurance and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He has previously worked at China Life Insurance, SUNSHINE INS Group, and PICC Life Insurance, before joining China Post Life as General Manager.

His resume shows that Li Xuejun has served as Deputy General Manager and General Manager of the Education and Training Department, General Manager of the Strategic Planning Department, General Manager of the Strategy and Marketing Department, and General Manager and Party Committee Secretary of the Hunan Branch at China Life Insurance Company Limited. He later joined SUNSHINE INS Group as a Business Director. After a brief tenure at SUNSHINE INS Group, Li Xuejun served as a Party Committee Member, Vice President, Board Secretary, and Executive Director at PICC Life Insurance. In September 2021, he joined China Post Life and later served as Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Director, and General Manager.

Prior to this personnel adjustment at China Post Life, its wholly-owned subsidiary, China Post Insurance Asset Management Co., Ltd., announced in May this year that Li Xuejun had been approved to serve as its Chairman. In February this year, China Post Insurance Asset Management announced that Han Guangyue had resigned as Chairman due to age reasons, and the board had elected Li Xuejun to serve as the company's Chairman.

In April this year, during a media open day event for China Post Life, Li Xuejun stated that in 2026, the company would focus on implementing its strategy, clarifying five key tasks to ensure a good start, steady progress, and robust development. First, driving growth on the liability side by cultivating efficient, synergistic, and diversified market expansion capabilities. Second, enhancing returns on the investment side by building a scientifically allocated, prudent, and robust investment management system. Third, enabling transformation through technology by constructing an advanced, data-driven digital intelligence support capability. Fourth, systematically optimizing management by forging core professional advantages with clear divisions of labor and efficient operations. Fifth, deepening reform efforts to stimulate internal driving vitality with flexible mechanisms and充沛的动能.
