On November 17, DingTalk version 8.1.5 introduced a major upgrade to its AI note-taking feature—Visual Summary. After updating to the latest version, users can activate this function during video conferences by clicking "Cloud Recording," searching for "AI Note-Taking" in DingTalk during client visits or interviews, or using the DingTalk A1 hardware whenever AI-assisted recording is needed.
The upgraded AI Note-Taking not only transcribes audio and video content but also generates a "Comprehensive Overview Map," tailored to the context from titles to frameworks. It further intelligently inserts tables, timelines, flowcharts, or mind maps into specific sections, making complex information easy to grasp.
The multilingual capabilities of AI Note-Taking have also been enhanced, now supporting transcription and translation in 72 languages. Whether attending overseas product launches, international open courses, or cross-border collaboration meetings, language is no longer a barrier. The feature transcribes speech in real-time and translates it into a structured summary, helping users access global first-hand information.
The DingTalk AI Note-Taking product lead stated that the tool is not just a recording device for meetings but aims to become an intelligent companion for high-efficiency professionals. The goal is to make tools better understand people, rather than requiring people to adapt to tools—a direction DingTalk continues to pursue in the AI era.
