埃隆·马斯克通过将部分股票期权转换为可立即行使投票权但至2028年才能出售的股份，将其在特斯拉的投票权提升至20%。

继上周SpaceX首次公开募股后，马斯克履行了今年四月与特斯拉达成的一项协议。根据证券备案文件，他将2018年薪酬方案中获得的大约3亿份未行权期权进行了转换。这项非同寻常的交易意味着，马斯克并未获得更多普通特斯拉股份。相反，他获得了限制性股票，这些股票将于2028年1月19日——即期权原定到期日——归属。

然而，根据周三提交的一份文件，这些金融工具“赋予了马斯克先生可行使的投票权”。为支付行使期权所需的约71亿美元成本，他放弃了1750万股特斯拉股票。交易完成后，马斯克持有约7亿股特斯拉股票，包括通过信托持有的股份。他在一份证券披露文件中表示，这约占当前流通股总数的19.9%。
