Zhihu Reports Q2 2025 Results: Revenue Reaches 717 Million Yuan with Adjusted Net Profit of 91.3 Million Yuan

Zhihu released its second quarter 2025 financial results on August 27th afternoon. The report reveals that Zhihu generated revenue of 717 million yuan in the second quarter, with paid reading services contributing 402 million yuan in revenue, representing 56.1% of total revenue. Marketing services and vocational education businesses contributed 223 million yuan and 62.1 million yuan respectively, accounting for 31.1% and 8.7% of total revenue.

Since achieving comprehensive profitability for the first time in Q4 2024, Zhihu has maintained its quarterly profit momentum. The company recorded an adjusted net profit of 91.3 million yuan in the second quarter, marking three consecutive quarters of Non-GAAP profitability. As of the end of the second quarter, Zhihu's cash and cash equivalents, term deposits, restricted cash, and short-term investments totaled 4.82 billion yuan.

Operationally, Zhihu continues to strengthen the core value and advantages of its trusted community platform. Through AI applications such as Zhihu Direct Answer, the company is driving a positive cycle in community content and creator ecosystem development. While maintaining stable monthly active user scale in the second quarter, daily active user engagement time and core user retention showed significant improvements both quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year. Additionally, the average monthly subscription membership reached 13.2 million in the second quarter.
