Latest developments are emerging regarding the situation in Iran.

Iran has stated it will not abandon uranium enrichment and its missile program. On February 7, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, while attending the 17th Al Jazeera Forum in Qatar, stated in an interview that during negotiations with the United States, Iran will not give up uranium enrichment and will not negotiate on its missile program.

Zarif also mentioned that the possibility of war always exists, and Iran is prepared for it. Should the US launch a military strike against Iran, Iran lacks the capability to attack the US mainland. Therefore, Iran would target US military bases in the Middle East, an action that would drag the entire region into war.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces: Iranian Air Force at "Highest Level of Readiness" According to a report from Iran's Tasnim News Agency on the 7th, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that the Iranian Air Force is currently at its "highest level of readiness" and is fully coordinated with other branches of the military, prepared to "resolutely and forcefully confront any form of threat or aggression."

Iranian Foreign Minister: Second Round of Iran-US Talks Expected in Coming Days On the 7th local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in an interview that the possibility of war always exists, and Iran is prepared to prevent war from occurring.

Zarif stated that the previous day, he had clearly informed the US negotiators that the US side has only two choices: war or diplomacy, and Iran's choice is diplomacy. However, he simultaneously emphasized that Iran is more prepared than ever for both options and hopes the US side chooses the diplomatic path.

Zarif pointed out that if the US launches an attack, Iran will not take action against the US mainland but will respond by targeting US military bases in the Middle East. He also said that Iran will not attack neighboring countries, with actions limited solely to US military bases in the region.

Zarif mentioned that the specific timing for the second round of talks has not been set, but both sides agree it should be held as soon as possible. He believes the second round of negotiations is expected to take place within the coming days.

US Negotiators Board Aircraft Carrier to Pressure Iran On February 7, US Central Command posted on social media that US Presidential Envoy Brian Hook, US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Central Command Commander General Brad Cooper boarded the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier deployed in the Arabian Sea. The group observed flight operations and spoke with the US pilot who shot down an Iranian drone. Hook stated that US forces are maintaining American security and deterring adversaries. Reports indicate that the delegation's visit to the carrier clearly shows that, despite the US and Iran having resumed talks, the US government continues to strengthen its military deployment in the Middle East. However, there are currently no signs indicating that the US has decided to use military force against Iran.
