1月ISM制造业指数跃升表明，在经历多年低迷后，该行业可能正在迎来转折点。Capital Economics经济学家亚历山德拉·布朗在研究报告中指出，ISM综合指数上升4.7点至52.6，创下2022年以来新高，所有五个分项指标均实现增长。
尤为令人鼓舞的是，前瞻性的新订单分项指数飙升近10点，生产分项指数也增长5.2点。但布朗补充道，调查受访者的评论暗示，客户希望规避潜在关税推动的价格上涨，可能是数据走强的原因。
事实上，受访企业的反馈仍显悲观，抱怨称需求持续疲软、关税继续扰乱商业活动、经营环境仍充满不确定性。这些矛盾现象显示制造业复苏基础尚不稳固。
