路透社报道，特朗普政府正放弃此前为美国关键矿产项目提供最低价格保障的计划。此政策调整正值美国参议院委员会审查去年向MP Materials提供的价格下限之际，意味着政府对行业承诺出现逆转，也可能与G7伙伴国正在讨论的联合价格支持措施产生分歧——这些措施原本旨在推动电动汽车、半导体、国防及消费电子等关键矿产的生产。
据悉，本月早些时候在一场闭门会议上，两位特朗普政府高级官员向美国矿产企业高管表示，其项目必须在没有政府价格支持的情况下实现财务独立。美国能源部助理部长奥德丽·罗伯逊指出：“我们不是来扶持你们，不要指望政府会提供支持。”美国商务部国际贸易署副助理部长约书亚·克鲁恩亦出席会议，并传达政府已无能力提供价格下限的立场。
