Shandong Hi-Speed New Energy: January 2026 Output Falls 4.6% to 0.51 Million MWh; Clarifies Currency Misprint in 2025 Report

Bulletin Express
Apr 24

Shandong Hi-Speed New Energy reported preliminary operating power generation of approximately 505,421 MWh (0.51 million MWh) for January 2026, down 4.6% year on year. The figure consolidates production from projects wholly owned, managed, or held through associates and joint ventures.

Centralised photovoltaic (PV) plants generated 195,299 MWh, a 5.5% decline from the prior-year period. Provincial performance diverged sharply: Shanxi’s PV output almost doubled (+84.4% to 12,965 MWh), while Anhui (-26.5%), Jiangxi (-30.0%) and Guangdong (-26.6%) weighed on the segment.

Wind farms contributed 255,889 MWh, slipping 6.4% versus January 2025. Output fell most in Shanxi (-25.2%) and Henan (-11.2%), partly offset by marginal growth in Shandong (+0.9%).

Total mainland China generation from both PV and wind assets stood at 451,188 MWh, down 6.0% year on year.

Management emphasised that the data are unaudited and intended for reference only.

In a separate clarification, the company corrected a typographical error in the Chinese version of its 2025 annual report: the currency unit in the “Consolidated Statement of Profit or Loss” should read “RMB’000” instead of “HK$’000”. All other information in both the Chinese and English versions remains unchanged.
