Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed a further on-market share repurchase on 18 August 2026, buying back 2.60 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The transaction was executed within a price range of HKD 3.265 to HKD 3.300, for a total consideration of HKD 8.54 million, implying an average cost of HKD 3.29 per share.
Including this latest trade, the company has repurchased 38.30 million shares between 29 July and 18 August 2026 that are pending cancellation. The block represents approximately 0.33 % of the current issued share capital of 11.79 billion shares.
Under the general mandate granted on 26 August 2025, Want Want China is authorised to repurchase up to 1.18 billion shares. To date, 55.42 million shares—or 0.47 % of the issued shares outstanding on the mandate date—have been bought back under this authority.
No treasury shares are currently held, and the issued share count remains unchanged until the pending cancellations are effected. In line with Hong Kong listing rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 17 September 2026.
