Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining Co., Ltd. (6693) has announced that its board of directors approved the appointment of Feng Tao as Vice President and Chief Engineer. The appointment is set to take effect on 28 February 2026, aligning with the current term of the board.
Feng Tao, aged 50, holds a Master’s Degree in Geology from Northwest University in the People’s Republic of China. He is a Fellow of both the Society of Economic Geologists and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and has over 20 years of experience in geological exploration and international mining technology management. His previous roles include senior positions at globally recognized mining enterprises, such as Placer Dome Inc. (now a subsidiary of Barrick Mining Corporation), Mundoro Mining Inc., Eldorado (Beijing) Enterprise Management Co., Ltd., and Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. before joining Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining Co., Ltd. in February 2026.
According to the announcement, Feng Tao is not subject to any disqualification from serving as a senior manager under applicable laws and regulations, satisfies the eligibility requirements for senior managerial positions at listed companies, and has the competence to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
