Critical Resources (CRR) has intersected additional spodumene bearing pegmatites in its current drill program at Mavis Lake lithium project in Ontario, Canada.
The company hit 29.9 metres of spodumene bearing pegmatites in a step out drill hole, further extending visual estimates of the strike length.
A total of 56 of 62 drill holes have now intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatites.
The company believes mineralisation extends to the east, boosting its confidence for increasing scale and potential resource.
Drilling is ongoing at the project, with Critical Resources mostly focussing on infill drilling, followed by testing of the potential strike length.
Chairman Robert Martin said the company is considering fast tracking a phase three drill program.
“To continually intercept lithium bearing pegmatites, along strike, in previously untested areas is an excellent outcome,” he said.
“These results support that the mineralised zones are continuing to the east, towards an area that has known and mapped pegmatites, providing a potential strike length up to three kilometres long.”
Assay work is advancing and will be released as its received.
Shares were trading 6.90 per cent higher today at 6.2 cents each at 12:22 pm AEST.
