据媒体报道，供应链证实，目前苹果MR新品已进入最后冲刺与供应链拉货阶段，除原先已知的立讯精密与扬明光等之外，鸿海集团旗下GIS也入列供应链，GIS负责的苹果MR订单品项为与最终成品出货距离最近的镜头贴合业务，近期GIS内部已全力冲刺赶工。业界从GIS生产线动员时程研判，苹果研发多年的MR新品最快会在今年6月WWDC发布，并陆续铺货销售。另外，长期跟踪苹果的专栏作家马克·古尔曼在最新的文章中披露，苹果混合现实头显包含两个接口：一个用于传输数据的USB-C接口和一个连接电池的专用磁吸接口。这款头显需要外部电池才能正常工作，其尺寸和形状与MagSafe电池相似，大约可以提供2小时的续航时间。
