POLITICS

Italy sought last-minute changes on Thursday to a tentative EU agreement on sharing out responsibility for looking after migrants and refugees, pushing for a cut in the number of people each country would take on.

ECONOMY

ISTAT releases April industrial output data (0800 GMT).

DEBT

The Italian Treasury has raised 17.1 billion euros in the first four days of the offer of its new 'BTP Valore' bond dedicated to retail investors, bourse data showed on Thursday.

The BTP Valore offer ends on Friday at 1100 GMT.

Treasury to sell 6.5 billion euros 12-month BOT bills. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.

The Treasury said on Thursday it would sell up to 7.5 billion euros in BTP bonds at a June 13 auction.

COMPANIES

TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)

U.S. fund KKR and a rival consortium comprising state lender CDP and Australian fund Macquarie are readying to submit slightly improved bids for TIM's network ahead of a June 9 deadline, sources said.

LEONARDO

The Italian defence group said on Thursday it signed a deal with Azerbaijan for the supply of C-27J military transport plane, without giving details about the contract.

ENI

Eni and oil and gas operator KazMunayGas $(KMG)$ will work together to build Kazakhstan's first hybrid renewables-gas power plant, the Italian energy group said on Thursday following a meeting with the Kazakh president in Astana.

EUROVITA (not listed)

Italian authorities may extend beyond the current June 30 deadline a temporary halt to the early redemption of ailing life insurer Eurovita's products, a consumer association said after a meeting with the company's special administrator.

FINLOGIC

Argo SpA ends full voluntary takeover bid on Finlogic ordinary shares.

VISIBILIA EDITORE

Ends capital increase.

DIARY

Milan, market regulator CONSOB holds annual meeting with financial market (0900 GMT); expected attendees include Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco, Economy Undersecretary Federico Freni.

Milan, Algebris Investments holds round-table discussion "Italian and European Banking System: Challenges and Opportunities" (0830 GMT); expected attendees include ECB board member Andrea Enria (1030 GMT).

Rome, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso's programme on Friday:

* gives speech at Business Ethics Summit organised by Pontifical Academy of Sciences (0700 GMT);

* gives speech at 'Italian Wine Union' (0830 GMT);

* attending inauguration ceremony of "Frecciarossa Red in Italy" (1000 GMT);

* gives speech via videoconference at forum 'Elle getting Greener' (1300 GMT).

Manduria, 'Forum in Masseria' "Italy to come. Perspectives and actions to be implemented to build the Country of the future" continues; ends on June 11. On Friday expected attendees include Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida, farming association Confagricoltura President Massimilano Giansanti (1300 GMT); Health Minister Orazio Schillaci, Novartis Italian Country President Valentino Confalone, insurers' association ANIA President Maria Bianca Farina (1430 GMT); Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, National Cybersecurity Agency Vice Director Nunzia Nardi (1600 GMT).
