GCT Semiconductor, set to go public through a special-purpose acquisition merger, on Friday said it had named Edmond Cheng as its chief financial officer.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company, which makes semiconductor solutions for 4G and 5G, said the appointment was effective March 18.
Cheng previously was CFO of Cenntro, an electric vehicle company where he led the initial public offering process. He also previously was CFO of the private equity and venture capital firm Mithera Capital.
GCT Semiconductor in November agreed to go public through a merger with Concord Acquisition III, a blank-check company.
