智通财经APP获悉，全球最大的广告公司WPP(WPP.US)周二任命英国电信前首席执行官Philip Jansen为新董事会主席，接替Roberto Quarta。
Jansen将于9月加入WPP董事会，并于明年1月1日接替自2015年以来一直担任WPP董事会主席的Quarta。
这一任命出台之际，旗下拥有奥美(Ogilvy)和群邑(GroupM)广告公司的WPP在全球广告公司中明显落后。受科技客户支出减少和辉瑞(PFE.US)业务流失等因素影响，WPP第一季度有机营收出现下滑。
WPP首席执行官Mark Read表示：“(Quarta)帮助公司度过了包括新冠疫情在内的重大挑战，监督了我们投资组合的重组，以使WPP恢复财务稳定，并指导了我们产品的根本性重塑，以满足现代营销的需求。”
据了解，Jansen今年早些时候离开了英国电信。
