路透8月21日 - 煤矿企业Arch Resources 和Consol Energy 周三表示，两家公司将以全股票交易的方式合并，组建一个价值52亿美元的实体。
在严格的排放法规下，对新煤矿的投资一直不足。但化石燃料在未来几年仍将是能源结构的一部分的前景可能会支撑煤炭供应紧张和价格高企。
交易预计在 2025 年第一季度完成，在交易完成后的 6 至 18 个月内，每年可节约成本和运营费用 1.1 亿至 1.4 亿美元。
Arch公司股东将拥有合并后公司约45%的股份，其余股份归Consol公司所有。
