Besterra Returns to the Black in Fiscal H1
Besterra (TYO:1433) returned to the black with an attributable profit of 127 million yen in the fiscal six months ended July 31, from an attributable loss of 28 million yen a year ago.
The company's basic earnings per share were 14.36 yen, compared with a loss per share of 3.23 yen a year ago, according to a Monday filing.
Net sales jumped 73.3% to 5.77 billion yen from 3.33 billion yen a year earlier.
It forecasted attributable profit to grow 107.7% to 480 million yen or 54.17 yen per basic share and net sales to gain 17.1% to 11 billion yen for the fiscal year ending Jan. 31, 2025.
The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 10 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
Besterra's shares shed over 2% at market close.
