The unionized workers of SK Hynix (KRX:000660) rejected a proposed wage agreement, with 70.6% voting against the deal, Yonhap News reported Tuesday.
The possible agreement comprised a 5.7% pay raise and higher medical payments, but workers had originally demanded an 8% salary increase. The decision reflects dissatisfaction among the firm's unionized workers amid its stronger-than-expected performance, the report said.
Shares of SK Hynix rose 1% at market close on Wednesday.
